10th Anniversary!

Sept 1st was Teacher's Day, it was also my 10th "go-steady" anniversary with Erwin :D I thought it would be quite meaningful to do a family shoot on the day itself to remember it by. Boy was I right! In all the wrong ways.

The worse clients The Studio Loft ever had were my own kids :p I think Charlene couldn't believe how badly they "performed" for the camera that day too. Arrgh, I was so upset with them and then decided why not just have a nice shot of Erwin and myself, let them run mad for all I care. When we both got down on the grass to take a shot, Dylan started screaming when he realised I wasn't paying any attention to him. Then Kayden kept fussing for biscuits. Sigh.

Anyway, here are a few usable shots we managed to get. Good luck to us (and Charlene) at our next family portrait session :p

We looked like we had just fought a battle and lost :s

Happy anniversary baby!

M-O-M-M-Y

This is my first Mothers' Day with Dylan and as a mother of two and I wanted to take some photos of my kids and me at the studio to celebrate the occasion. Disaster! Both of them did not cooperate and the father was tearing his hair out trying to be the photographer for the day. He commented that the two of them had to be my worst clients, I do not disagree! Hahaha! I don't think I even managed to get a decent shot of the two of them together. I left the studio feeling rather upset but was cheered up when Kayden sang me this song he learnt in school, so cute! It didn't matter that he stumbled slightly trying to coordinate the actions with the words, I loved it :) Thank you boys for being the best Mothers' Day present ever!

Swimming on Good Friday

We brought the boys swimming today. It's Dylan's second time in the pool, his first was a disaster at 3 months old. Not too bad today, at least he had some fun splashing in the water and managed to give a few smiles for the camera :)

The streaker crawling away from me before I could put on his swimming trunks!

Come on Di Di, it's not that cold.

WAIL! Gor Gor lied!

Gniak gniak gniak!

Master Grumpy

A great shot by Daddy!!! *clap clap*

Working it for the camera

Rain & Cows @ Bottle Tree Park

We brought the kids to the Bottle Tree Park and it poured :s Couldn't do the "long kang" fishing so we'll go back again. Lunch at the restaurant was unexpectedly alright, "zhi cha" style. I recommend the banana fritter thingy, forgot the name :p

While waiting out the rain, we saw a couple of "cows" pulling a carriage! Kayden the cow maniac was obviously excited to see them so we took some shots there while it drizzled. There's another part of the park which had dinosaur "fossils" but it wasn't sheltered so we can't get to it.

Since the rain took our fun away, we let Kayden have some fun as our photographer for the day, here is a collage of the shots he took! At first it was all headless and tilted shots hahaha then he got the hang of it and managed to take a really straight shot (2nd shot from bottom left)! He even took me nursing Dylan and an arty farty shot of his own feet! Not bad ya? ;)

All shots taken with the Lumix.

It's tough to be my husband :p

i lose my temper easily when you disagree with me
we often argue over what's best for the boys
and you say i always think i am in the right
well ok, maybe 80% of the time :p
if i am not working or looking after the boys
i am nuah-ing in front of the tv
the housework is mostly done by you
and your favourite complain is i treat the home like a hotel :p
things have improved since i found a part-time maid
but i know you would still like to see me chip in more often
i cannot promise you i'll be able to do it
but i will try harder to keep the house tidy
thanks for being an understanding husband
although you are a tad naggy ;)
i think you are a great father!
to kayden especially
i secretly love how you fuss over things
with that deep burrow on your forehead as you frown
while fixing your helicopter or trying to solve a problem
the way you don't care what others think
and always in your Led Zeppelin tee, bermudas and slippers :D
my dear husband of more than 7 years
i wish you a very happy 30 something birthday!!!

love,
your messy wife :D

haba haba

It's a new year! And I've got a new "toy" for the boys :) It's a HABA beanbag which I have been eyeing since the Christmas of 2007. I wanted to buy it then but it was sold out the next day and the lady told me to leave my name and number, that they will contact me when stocks arrived. They never did.

So there we were, window shopping on Christmas day when we passed by their other shop at Ngee Ann City and lo and behold! There was the pretty green thing staring back at me from the window display :p This time, I wasted no time and bought it.

Here are the boys having some fun on it ;) Once they get tired of it, the green thing will be a studio prop!

Oh and what a good start to 2009, this evening Kayden said he was going to poot poot and because he has cried wolf many times before, we didn't think he was serious but his face showed otherwise. Erwin quickly put him on the toilet bowl and after one push, we heard the most happy sound, a plonk into the water HAHAHA! Erwin and I danced for joy and Kay was so amused that we were so happy that he announced to Dylan, "Baby, I poot poot in the toilet bowl and daddy so happy!" :D We hope this is the start of the end of diapers for my 3 year old!

On the third day of Christmas...

7 years ago today, I became Mrs Erwin Seow!
Happy ROM Anniversary baby! :D

This day is also my cat Zen Zen's birthday, he popped out of his mother just as I was leaving the house for the Registry of Marriages.
